About The Festival
The Boston Teen Author Festival (BTAF) is an annual event that aims to encourage and celebrate a love of reading for teens and fans of young adult literature in the Greater Boston area.
Launching in 2012 with fourteen authors and less than fifty attendees, our sixth annual event in 2017 welcomed forty authors and almost 600 attendees. BTAF spans over the course of a day and is free and open to the public. The day’s schedule begins with a chance for the audience to hear from all of the authors attending for that year. It then breaks up into themed panels over four sessions, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. The day wraps up in a massive book signing with sales provided by local indie bookseller Porter Square Books.
Every year, BTAF strives to bring new, diverse, and highly sought-after authors to take part in this fun, eventful day. We're passionate about connecting the readers of Boston with their favorite authors from across the country, and maybe helping them discover some new ones along the way.
In 2017, Boston Teen Author Festival, Inc. became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We rely on the generous support of our fans and various sponsors to make our annual event fun and free for all. If you wish to donate to BTAF, please check out our Kickstarter that will be launching later this spring, where you can also receive special perks for donating at certain amounts.
