​Dear Friends,

We have some sad and difficult news to share. The BTAF executive board has unanimously voted to dissolve the Boston Teen Author Festival and the nonprofit that operates the festival. This decision does not come lightly; however, the vision of the festival has been drastically altered due to the many concerns brought on by the pandemic.

​We are incredibly grateful to every team and board member, volunteer, author, and attendee who has made their mark on the festival, whether that was through planning, interacting with fans, or making memories the day of. We look forward to seeing you all at future YA book events when it is once again safe to attend!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing this spark of an idea eight years ago and for helping us turn it into a celebration of books and literacy. We on the executive board, past and present, have been humbled by the passion we have witnessed throughout the years.
